Wartime & Swing Duo

The Swingtime Sweethearts are Annie Riley & Le'arna Castle, both successful solo artists, with a combined experience of over 20 years. Their affection for the forties has brought them together to perform as the Swingtime Sweethearts. Their wide range of songs from the 1940s, wartime & swing, includes the hits of The Andrews Sisters, Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton, Gracie Fields and Glenn Miller. The girls have been very busy since meeting in 2006, performing at Air shows, War events, and Festivals all over the country.

In 2012, they were heavily involved in both the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Torch Celebrations and in 2013, were invited to perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace for The Queen's Coronation Festival.

The Swingtime Sweethearts have released 3 albums "Those Were the Days", "Not Forgotten" and most recently "Their Finest Hour", as well as their charity single titled "Not Forgotten" which features an inspiring and emotional speech from the Forces sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn. The girls were thrilled to have their song featured as the final track on Dame Vera's latest album "Unforgettable". Sales from the single, as well as a percentage from "Unforgettable" are raising funds for the Swingtime Sweethearts' chosen charities, for which they are both proud ambassadors, "The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy" and "The Not Forgotten Association" for the ex-service and currently serving war disabled.
